Jamaica: Data Protection Act, 2020

This section applies if you are in Jamaica, or if we process your personal data in connection with offering MORE to people in Jamaica. It adds to the rest of this Privacy Policy. If anything here conflicts with the sections above, this section applies to you.

Who is responsible for your data

Rio Cobre Holdings LLC is the data controller for personal data we collect through moreworkforce.com and the MORE service for our own purposes, such as running your account, billing and support. When a business uses MORE to answer its calls, that business decides how its callers' information is used and is the data controller for it. We process that caller information on the business's behalf and only on its instructions.

Registration and data protection contact

We register with the Office of the Information Commissioner (OIC) as a data controller, as the Act requires, and will list our registration details here once they are issued. Questions or requests about your personal data go to our data protection contact at privacy@moreworkforce.com or by post to Rio Cobre Holdings LLC, 10550 City Center Blvd, Apt 210, Pembroke Pines, FL 33025, USA.

How we handle your data

We follow the eight data protection standards in the Act. We process personal data fairly and lawfully, only for the purposes described in this policy, keep only what we need, keep it accurate, delete it when we no longer need it, respect your rights, protect it with technical and organisational safeguards, and only transfer it outside Jamaica with adequate protection.

Your rights

  • Access: ask whether we hold personal data about you, get a copy of it, and learn why we use it, where it came from and who we share it with.
  • Correction: ask us to correct, block, erase or destroy data that is inaccurate.
  • Prevent processing: ask us to stop processing that is causing, or is likely to cause, you substantial and unwarranted damage or distress.
  • Direct marketing: tell us at any time to stop using your data for direct marketing.
  • Automated decisions: ask that no decision that significantly affects you is made only by automated means, and ask us to reconsider one that was.
  • Consent: withdraw any consent you gave us, without affecting processing that already happened.

Send requests to privacy@moreworkforce.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We do not charge a fee and we respond within 30 days. If your request is about a call you made to a business that uses MORE, we will pass it to that business and help it respond.

Transfers outside Jamaica

MORE is run from the United States, and our service providers (hosting, voice and AI processing, phone carriers, email and payments) may process data in the United States and other countries. When personal data leaves Jamaica, we use contracts and security measures that give it a level of protection consistent with the Act.

Security incidents

If a security breach affects personal data of people in Jamaica, we will notify the Information Commissioner within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, and tell the people affected where the Act requires it.

Please contact us first so we can try to fix the problem. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Information Commissioner: Masonic Building, 2nd Floor, 45-47 Barbados Avenue, Kingston 5; info@oic.gov.jm; (876) 929-8568; oic.gov.jm.
